Movement of shadows, no-face contours of bodies behind dark red curtain, few guitar’s chords, impatient audience in front of Vienna Arena’s open air stage…and then immortal legend, still full of energy in his sixties, Alice Cooper.
This thrilling show, full of surprising scenes with guillotine, chopped head, sword or ninja attackers accompanying by excellent guitar solos got visitors into rage. Characteristic voice, memorable performance. Simple breathtaking theatre, theatre of death.
Definitely, Alice Cooper owned the Wednesday night.
Photographer’s note: It was very challenging shooting. First, the stage was so high and pit so tight, that I was able to see only top of the musician’s heads, so no way to use lenses I was planning to. I was forced to step on platform in front of first row, from that moment standing in the view of paying visitors (and I’m really sorry for that). The second, the show started from first seconds in so excellent way that I almost lost focus, enjoying the music. First four songs run so fast and I was sure the best parts of performing are only coming. So I stayed prepared with camera (fortunately, security were ok with that) . And these photos are result of that.
